I had recently acquired my dream vehicle, a stout 1953 Dodge M43 military ambulance that supposedly served in the Korean War. After 54 years however, the brakes had let go and I could not drive it from it's place of purchase to its new home, about 140 miles away. A quick search online for automobile shipping soon revealed that most shippers were going to charge me way too much and had little experience with such an unusual and heavy vehicle (7200lbs).
