Bought myself a new DL650 V-Strom from Bartlesville Cycle Sports in Bartlesville, OK (recommend both the bike and the dealer...). Problem is, I'm in Los Alamos, NM, the 730mi drive isn't exactly a daytrip, and I'm short on vacation time. I got a couple of bids on uShip, with delivery times much sooner than I'd expected, and for much less than other quotes. Finally got a bid from Ken Jolley with Rim Country Logistics (bostruck on uShip) for an enclosed trailer with insurance, soft tie downs, and a next day pickup, only $465. I paid for the shipping with PayPal (all the way through, very convenient), and Ken set up a pickup with the dealer the next day (Wednesday). Apparently, when he arrived at the dealer, he improved their shipping security by insisting the dealer make a copy of his driver's license, so they'd have a record of who picked up the bike. Very nice! Got a call after the pickup on Wednesday, and another call Thursday night to set up an 8am delivery Friday. Friday morning he unloaded the trailer, rolled it into the shop, and I fired up my pristine new bike. Utterly uneventful, boring, and worth every penny. -Mark
