My husband and I needed to move several large, antique pieces of furniture (including an upright piano) from the midwest to our New Jersey house, and we were dreading the hassle of finding friends to help us load and unload, and driving a rented truck for 10 hours to move the stuff ourselves. But when we found this site, and On The Move made a great bid for doing it for us, we decided to try having someone else do it. My mom was the person at the pickup site, and she was nervous about everything: how her family heirlooms that I am inheriting would be handled, how her white carpet would be treated by the movers, and how these men I had never met would treat her and her house during the pickup. But Terry and his crew did a wonderful job. They were polite, punctual and careful. The carpet stayed clean (even in the rain), and they didn't damage anything, even when carrying the piano up our brick porch steps to deliver it. All of us thought they were great. And having them take such good care of my mom was a huge help to me. I'd recommend them in a minute, especially if the job involved heavy, fragile stuff-they were much more comfortable moving that stuff than any of us would have been. And especially if you have a picky mother to please, too!!
