Response: I have several quotations the best one was not from Uship. I have not yet contracted for the shipment. The boat will be ready to ship on October 22.8/19/2011

Response: The best quotation so far is just under $10K That was a surprise to me as when I went online looking at used boats, the estimate that they gave for the same distance was about $7,500. I am going to contract with the best price from a company who can show me that they have the capability to take care of my boat.8/19/2011

Response: : Hi Frank, We can do this one for you. The permits in Canada are expensive. We will be driving from Canada, into the States and back into Canada. This will require us to purchase an in transit bond in addition to the oversized permits in the States, then deal with Canadian customs on the Vancouver side. Our bid would be based on weight, permits required and fuel costs. Can you give me an estimated value of the boat? this will give me a better idea of the cost of the bond for your shipment. In addition, please review our feedback and see what our customers have said about our work. 8/19/2011

Response: The boat is 5 years old, we paid $280,000 originally, a simlar boat is being sold for $220,000 at this time. Our insurance company is aware of the upcoming shipment and has insured the boat for $250,000. Frank Button8/19/2011

We are in Alaska delivering some boats right now and will be traveling through Vancouver in a few days. Our internet connections and cell phone service for email will be in and out for the next few days as we head back down the AL-CAN towards the US. If you can let us know if our bid is acceptable in the next day or so, we can schedule to pick your boat up on the 24th of October, as the 22nd is on a Saturday and there are some US States that have width restrictions over weekends for oversized loads. Response: I will wait for your quote. However, It would be best to pick up the boat on Sunday afternoon as we will have cranes in our yard picking up all of the boats in the club to take them out of the water. They will be finished early afternoon on Sunday and not in the yard Monday morning. Unless you have a way to tranfer the boat to your trailer without a crane Sunday would be the best time. Just to confirm, it is inclusive of any taxes etc and there is no other sales tax at all. I also would like you to tell me what has to be done with the boat and specifically the mast to prepare for transport. I am away from home for the weeekend and we can conclude the deal next week. We like to have the mast removed, spreaders removed and all of the mast and parts bubble wrapped and taped up. The mast will lay flat on our trailer under the boat in mast trays for transport. The boat should be low on fuel if possible and water drained from any onboard tanks. Contents of the boat should be secured. The boat may be shrink wrapped fro transport if you prefer, either way is fine with us. I think that about covers it.
