There are no hidden cost. To go to Edmonton add 150.00. We have our on Canadian carrier code and can transport into Canada.

So additional $150 to Edmonton rather than Fox Creek? You must plan on traveling thru Hinton? I could meet in Jasper or Hinton, don't want to seem cheap just trying to keep costs down. Thanks

I guess the last thing to discuss is customs clearing and the process involved.....do I need a broker or are you able to clear for me, do i forward you the gst to pay for me or reimbuse? First time for me. And lastly you schedule. Thanks

Trouble by importing boat from USA to Canada. Simple or very complex? Are you able to provide assistance or recommend a broker? I just completed the deal on the boat and would like to proceed quickly. Thanks

Thank you for your interest in our bid. We are quite familiar with the process for importation of boats & trailers. You will need to hire a customs broker. We can suggest several. Their fees will cost around $250.00. They take care of all the red tape. As long as the paperwork is in order the process is simple. You will need a copy of the certificate of origin and bill of sale. I can have a driver down to pick it up at any time. We travel this route on a regular basis. Waiting for a call back from insurance agent and boat dealer, so to get everything taken care of I need to get -call customs, email letter stating I give you permision to bring into Canada (how much notice do they need) -RIV done before or after boats comes thru? -your fee is the $1800 or bid of $2007 plus GST? -how do you require payment -monday works better for me what time? Did I miss anything?

My apologies - the load going down to Portland just cancelled on me. Unfortunately, it's just not cost effective for me to drive down to Portland at the moment. If things change at all, I'll contact you and let you know. Yes, your checklist is essentially correct. The RIV process is started after the boat gets into Canada. It's the trailer that they're worried about. You go online to their site, pay $200 and they send you a form that you take to CAD Tire to have the trailer inspected (they sight the VIN and that's about all they can do with a trailer). They give you a sticker and then you can register and insure the trailer in Canada. You could pay a broker, but it's really not that hard. I hope it all works out for you and sorry to get your hopes up. Scott
