Question:

What's your Target Price on this delivery ? ThanksReport a Violation
Response: I can get this truck shipped to Vancouver terminal for $1025. I'll need to go across to bring it the rest of the way so add on ferry costs and I'll be at 1200...if someone delivers it to me for around that price, on the Island, I'm probably good with that.3/25/2012Report a Violation

What's your budget on this classic truck? Report a Violation
Question:

is the ferry cost 5.35 ftx 45ftx2 thnxReport a Violation
Response: According to BC Ferries website, the cost is as follows: Passenger vehicle $47.25 plus 5.35/ft for anything over 20 feet. They also say that for commercial vehicles, which I'm assuming yours would be, (over 5500 kg), the rate is a flat $5.35/ft. The price for the driver is $14.25. Just so everyone knows, there is no set date for this truck to get out here. If you can work it that you can get a return load off Vancouver Island, I'm willing to work with your schedule, up to a point. I should have said, to answer your question directly, that yes, I'm pretty sure that it will be $5.35 per foot from the front of the truck to the end of the trailer.3/26/2012Report a Violation
Question:
3/26/2012
The ferry cost for my one ton and 20' trailer is $250.00 (I am from Comox and know the route very well). I also know how much diesel it takes to run over 4 mountain ranges and with the declined bids thus far, I will not be placing a bid for your haul. Report a Violation
Response: Please disregard my previous message to you...I hadn't seen that you were taking yourself out of the running. Thanks3/26/2012Report a Violation
Question:
3/26/2012
Your best bet is going to be the haul to a Vancouver terminal as you mentioned above, then the ferry to Vancouver and back again. Doing yourself you are going to land around $500 alone in ferry fares + the 4 hours on the Queen of Barnacles and Rust. Finding hauls off of the island are few and far between. I have a vehicle sitting in Comox that I am going to bring out here so this would have fit with my plans. I would however have to run empty to the origin and that adds $ to the haul as well. I would go with the do it yourself route if you are trying to achieve maximum savings.Report a Violation
Response: It sounds like your situation works well with mine, but you never said what the cost would be if you drove to Pilger empty and picked up the truck.3/26/2012Report a Violation
Question:
3/26/2012
Hi; Any chance this might be ready sooner; like about April 4th on? I will be heading back to the Island about that time, and could do this within your budget of $1,200, door to door. Is this an M100 1/2ton? Thanks!Report a Violation
Response: Hi. The truck isn't running at the time and that's why I was delaying shipping it, as the fellow who owns it is going to get it running. If it's ok for it to be not running, but with a working emergency brake, then April 4th would work. (or within that time frame) He would have the ability to assist getting it pushed on, so as long as you don't need to move it around once it's on your unit, that would work. Let me know. Thank you. By the way, it's an M-3 and the dimensions are in the listing. It is 17'8 long which is shorter than most newer trucks.3/26/2012Report a Violation
Response: : Hi; I have winched lots of cars on the trailer. But I left my handwinch at home. Can always get another one. Do you know the weight of this truck? Thanks!3/26/2012Report a Violation
Response: The GVW of this truck is 6800 pounds, so the actual weight of the truck would be 4800 pounds. (GVW includes the payload) The owner, being a farmer, may have a hand winch to help load, but he certainly has a tractor. I just called the fellow in Pilger and he has at least 1 comealongs and a tractor so getting things loaded won't be an issue.3/26/2012Report a Violation
