Gas Tax increase: Good or Bad?

Last week, the National Surface Transportation Policy and Revenue Study Commission proposed an increase in gasoline taxes of up to 40%. This increased tax revenue would be used to improve damaged and aging roads with the hopes of reducing traffic deaths.
