Bid Valet
Bid Valet is an optional advanced bidding tool that allows qualified TSP's to set a lowest acceptable bid for any listing they bid on.
Why should I try Bid Valet?
How do I qualify?
Bid Valet is available to "qualified" Service Providers who have at least 10 feedback and at least 90% positive feedback rating.
- Save time bidding and rebidding - just set your lowest acceptable bid price and we will do all the rebidding work for you to give you the most possible revenue. No need to come back to the site if you are on the road or away from your computer. Bid Valet works for you 24/7.
- Get higher match prices - with Bid Valet, you can start with a higher bid without the hassle of re-bidding down to your lowest price. We will lower your bid in custom time and dollar increments depending on how aggressive you want to be.
- Be more competitive by automating your bids - you can set Bid Valet to automatically underbid competing Service Providers until you reach your lowest acceptable bid price.
How does bid valet work?
Bid Valet works for you in two ways:
- You can "Automatically underbid other TSP's." If you are underbid we will automatically place a lower bid in small, predefined increments until reaching your preset "lowest bid" price. These bids are triggered after a 2 hour delay or if the customer declines your bid because the price was too high
- You can choose to "Lower My bid every X hours by $X." We will automatically lower your bids in the time and money increments you choose, until you reach your "lowest bid" or any bid is accepted.
Both options may be used simultaneously to increase your chances of winning a bid. Bid Valet is only available to "qualified" service providers who have at least 10 feedback and at least a 90% positive feedback rating.
Example: Automatically underbid other TSPs
While bidding on a shipment, you see you are qualified for Bid Valet. You are the first bidder on this shipment, and you set a starting total bid of $3,200 (A) and a lowest bid of $3,000 (B).
The customer receives the starting bid of $3,200 immediately. Later, another Service Provider decides to place a regular bid of $3,100. The customer immediately receives the $3,100 bid.
After a 2 hour delay, if the shipment is still active, uShip will underbid (C) the other service provider on your behalf and automatically place a bid of $3,000.
Example: Automatically lower your bid
While bidding on a shipment, you see you are qualified for Bid Valet. You decide to place a starting bid of $2,400 (D). You set Bid Valet to lower your bid by $50 every 2 hours (E), until it reaches your lowest bid price of $2,000 (F).
The customer receives the starting bid of $2,400 immediately. Whether or not any other bids are placed on the shipment, your bid price will be lowered by $50 every
2 hours.
