This individual will work in cross-functional teams to analyze results and make high level strategic decisions based on those results. This position is based at uShip's corporate headquarters in Austin, TX.
Job Responsibilities:
- Use relevant information to uncover meaningful behavioral relationships
- Discover, analyze and quantify trends and correlations
- Run statistical analysis on multiple variables
- Create reports for management as needed
- Make strategic recommendations backed up by quantifiable data
- Track, monitor, and report on new initiatives
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or related discipline from a Top 30 Four-year institution
- Advanced knowledge of quantitative analysis using Microsoft Excel
- Experience writing SQL queries/reporting
- Working knowledge of basic statistics
- Experience in an entrepreneurial/startup environment
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Experience designing, managing, or using Business Intelligence/Reporting tools
- Experience with SQL database design, data warehousing, or administration
- Knowledge of internet related business metrics or experience working for a internet company
- Experience with statistical reporting, modeling and quantitative analysis (sampling, multiple regressions, etc.) including use of statistical tools (Minitab, etc.)
- Experience with Web Analytics Software such as Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.
