Business Development

The Business Development team works with uShip's ecosystem of partners to distribute uShip's tools and content to a broader audience. The team is responsible for prospecting, developing, managing and maintaining profitable partnerships in three primary areas: (1) Online Auction & Classified Marketplaces; (2) Transportation Industry Partners; (3) 3rd Party Tools & Services. Current uShip partners include Manheim Simulcast, OVE.com, AutoMart.com, iBoats.com, DAS Auto Shippers, United Road, eBizAutos, Auction123, Terrapass, UnwiredBuyer, and others.

    Community, Trust, & Safety (CTS)

    The Community, Trust and Safety team's primary responsibility is to serve as the contact point for uShip members. This involves all member support, including relationship building and management with our largest and most active members. CTS is also involved in the development of all community-based products and programs that promote better communication and cooperation among our members. Further, CTS handles dispute management, fraud prevention and working with federal, state and local authorities in order to create a safe transaction environment.

      Corporate

      The Corporate team includes the Office of the CEO as well as corporate level operations such as HR (benefits, recruiting, legal) and general office management.

      Development

      Utilizing cutting edge technologies, the Development team is responsible for scoping, coding, testing, and maintaining the technical products and features on the uShip platform. In addition, the development team builds and maintains the company's corporate infrastructure, including servers, PC's, databases, and other hardware and software used by the business.

      Marketing

      The Marketing team at uShip is responsible for all areas of customer (Shipper and Transportation Service Provider) acquisition, retention, and value optimization. Areas of opportunity and expertise include brand and revenue management, online and offline advertising, direct marketing, email communications, paid and natural search optimization, public relations, market research ,and social media.

      Product Strategy & Development

      The Product Strategy & Development team is made up of product managers, designers, content developers, and information architects who translate uShip's corporate goals into tools and services that serve the needs of the shippers and transportation service providers that make up the uShip community. The team is responsible for productizing and executing the initiatives of all the uShip functional groups, from partnership integrations that originate in business development to the product improvements that are identified via the customer feedback collected by CTS and SRA. In addition, the team is charged with identifying new opportunities and creating concepts and solutions to meet them, helping shape uShip's future roadmap for success.

      Strategy, Reporting, & Analytics (SRA)

      The Strategy, Reporting, and Analytics team uses quantitative and qualitative data to help inform strategic and tactical decision making. The team typically works in concert with project teams to evaluate adjacent and related markets, design and scope new or improved functionality, and provide post-launch customer insight. In addition, the group leads many of its own projects, particularly those related to marketplace efficiency, pricing and promotions, ROI analysis, historical and statistical trends, and website analytics. Finally, the group is responsible for the finance and accounting functions of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and treasury.
